When you sign up, we may collect your username, email (if provided), and profile photo or emoji. This information is used to create your BookBuds profile and allow you to connect with friends.
We collect reading session data such as reading time, streaks, and leaderboard activity. This enables core features like tracking your reading minutes and showing progress to friends.
We may collect basic device information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and anonymous usage analytics. This helps us improve performance and fix bugs.
If you add friends in the app, we store the connection so you can share reading activity and compete on the leaderboard.
If you enable push notifications, we collect your device’s notification token solely for sending reminders or reading updates.

If you are using BookBuds outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
